- נְפֵי, נְפָא,Pa. נַפֵּי, same. Y.Sabb.VII, 10a bot. כד מְנַפְּיָיאוכ׳ when she fans (blows the chaff out, on the Sabbath), she is guilty of an act coming under the category of winnowing. Ruth R. to III, 3 (read:) אזל נַפְּיָיהּ והיאוכ׳ go and winnow it (again), and it will yield the remainder; Yalk. ib. 604 זיל נַפֵּי תיבנאוכ׳ (not כפי).
